Healthy Under the Hardhat

Under the Blue Cross Blue Shield of NC Medical Plans, Rally Health and Blue 365 allow you to save money on various healthcare essentials and earn rewards by participating in missions and challenges. Teladoc allows you to see a doctor from home or on the go. They can treat a wide range of medical conditions as well as mental health support and are available 24/7 to employees on a health plan.

Medical Benefits

Barnhill is self-insured, with medical coverage through BlueCross BlueShield of NC. We offer four plan options, all including prescription coverage and 100% paid preventive care for annual physicals and eye exams. Employees can save $600 on their annual plan by completing a physical and submitting the signed preventive care form to HR.

Dental Benefits

Barnhill provides employees and their eligible dependents with the choice of two dental plans through Principal Insurance. Dental insurance helps pay for all or a portion of the costs associated with dental care, from routine cleanings to root canals. Both plans cover preventative routine services at 100%.

Vision Benefits

Barnhill provides employees and their eligible dependents with a vision plan that helps cover expenses related to your eye health such as annal exams, lenses, frames, and more. Vision insurance is also offered through Principal Insurance and a VSP Vision Care partnership. Ir provides choice, flexibility and savings through a VSP in-network doctor.

Life & Disability Benefits

Barnhill offers Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death and Dismemberment, and Short-Term Disability to employees at no cost. Additional options for employee-paid benefits are available for Long-Term Disability and Additional Life Insurance.

Post-Delivery Recuperation (Maternity)

Available to regular, full-time employees who have been with the company at least 90 days, given birth to a child, and provide at least 30 days notice.

Nurse Advocate

Barnhill employees on a health care plan and their plan dependents have access to a dedicated Nurse Advocate through Synergy Healthcare. This advocate will be there to help you navigate what can be a confusing, frustrating and time-consuming process managing today’s health care system.
